Julia Louis-Dreyfus has posted a stunningly defiant photo of herself following surgery for breast cancer, alongside a “fuck you cancer” message.

In September 2017, the Veep star announced her breast cancer diagnosis, and called for universal health care.

Louis-Dreyfus has shared updates on Instagram throughout her treatment, including a video her sons made to celebrate her last day of chemotherapy.

Now, months after her diagnosis, Louis-Dreyfus has shared her first photo taken after her surgery, stating that she’s “feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery.”

“Hoorah! Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery. Hey cancer, ‘Fuck you!’ Here’s my first post op photo,” she wrote.

Hoorah, indeed!

Taylor Swift tweet inspires feel-good holiday meme

Who’s a bitch badder than Taylor Swift? According to Twitter, the list goes on and on.

Who knows what kind of responses Twitter user @xnulz expected to elicit when they asked the aforementioned question back in mid-November, but they surely could not have expected the viral feedback the tweet received two weeks after the fact.

In just the span of a few hours, the tweet was meme-ified to highlight hundreds of inspirational women with incredible accomplishments under their belt.

While some tweeted about powerful women in history, others used the meme to pay homage to women in their lives.

Of course, some users couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to throw some shade at Swift.

Overall, however, the memes seem to be less about pitting women against one another and more about celebrating all the bad bitches in our lives and throughout history.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ ‘Veep’ costars ‘psyche’ her up before chemo treatment

As Julia Louis-Dreyfus continues treatment for breast cancer following her September diagnosis, her Veep costars have made major public displays of support for their Emmy-award winning colleague.

On Thursday, Veep stars Sam Richardson and Matt Walsh stepped up to “psyche” Dreyfus up ahead of her third chemotherapy treatment.

She shared the video – in which the well-meaning actors offer a few ill-advised motivational quotations  – on Twitter.

“2 of my darling Bozos (love them so much) psyche me up for 3rd chemo today,” she wrote. “And guess what? It worked! I’m psyched AF.”

Dreyfus has been sharing clips like these since revealing her diagnosis earlier this fall. In October, Dreyfus said working alongside her Veep co-stars is “a huge comfort and joy.”

On the same day, she shared an extremely sweet video of costars Timothy Simons and Tony Hale lip-syncing Katy Perry’s “Roar” for the camera.

The clip closes with a message: “We Love You Julia.” If that isn’t enough to get you misty-eyed, I can’t help you.

Watch Gina Rodriguez bust out some expert salsa moves for a good cause with Ellen DeGeneres

Gina Rodriguez is a dream to start with, but Gina Rodriguez dancing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to raise money for breast cancer awareness and Puerto Rico relief? It doesn’t get much better than that.

The Jane the Virgin actress visited the set Wednesday to chat about the new season of her show, teach salsa dancing to a producer, and offer ways to support Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Rodriguez is one of the many voices on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s star-studded relief song, “Almost Like Praying,” which isn’t necessarily a song you can salsa to but is for a good cause.

Joe Biden supports Julia Louis-Dreyfus after her breast cancer announcement like only a veep could

The "veeps" got this.

After Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ breast cancer diagnosis announcement Thursday, former Vice President Joe Biden voiced his support to the acclaimed actress who has played a fictional vice president on HBO’s Veep.

Biden assured Louis-Dreyfus that he was there for her during her cancer fight. “We Veeps stick together,” he wrote. He included a photo from a 2014 spot the two did together before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2014. Aviators are obviously involved.

Louis-Dreyfus, who plays vice president-turned-president (briefly) Selina Meyer on the show, had produced a spoof video in character with the then-real-life veep. The two had an adventurous day in the White House and bumped into Michelle Obama, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and called former Speaker of the House John Boehner.

Julia liked Joe’s tweet, and posted her own response shortly after.

Like Biden tweeted, we’re with you, Julia.

Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus announced Thursday that she has breast cancer, sharing a heartening post on Twitter that also calls for universal health care.

“1 in 8 women get breast cancer,” her statement begins. “Today, I’m the one.”

But ever one to use her platform for good, Dreyfus’ statement also called on her followers to demand universal access to health care.

“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal care a reality.”

Her announcement prompted an outpouring of sadness and love from fans, most notably from fellow actress and breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate, who immediately offered her support.

Her Veep co-star Tony Hale also posted a heartfelt message about the news:

Dreyfus is an 11-time Emmy award winner. She took home her latest, for her role as President Selena Meyer on Veep, earlier this month.

HBO issued the following statement to The Hollywood Reporter:

“Our love and support go out to Julia and her family at this time. We have every confidence she will get through this with her usual tenacity and undaunted spirit, and look forward to her return to health and to HBO for the final season of Veep.

The company also offered support on Twitter.

Amber Rose calls Piers Morgan a ‘misogynistic asshole’ in fiery Twitter takedown

Image: Noel Vasquez;Prince Williams/Getty Images

Over the weekend, Amber Rose shared a NSFW photo of herself on Instagram to promote her annual SlutWalk and to #bringbackthebush.

The image, which was removed from Instagram because of community guidelines, caused plenty of conversation onlineand like clockwork, Piers Morgan arrived, ready to share his unwanted opinions on the photo, Rose’s promotion tactics, and feminism.

Rose engaged with the British personality on Twitter, and the two had a fiery discussion which led to her schooling Morgan with just a few simple tweets.

It all started when Morgan tweeted “Put it away, luv. Thanks” in response to Rose’s photo.

“I’ll take Things Misogynistic Assholes Say for 500, Alex,” Rose replied, in Jeopardy fashion.

Morgan then mansplained what is and what is not considered prejudice against women.

“It’s not ‘misogyny’ to think that posting nude photos in the supposed name of feminist empowerment is pathetic attention-seeking bulls**t,” he tweeted.

“Nude? Where?,” Rose tweeted. “My breast nor my vagina was showing and my legs were closed. I am assuming you are referring to the pubic hair that was shown in the picture. Uncomfortable? Get over it,” she said.

“I can handle your naked body, Amber – relax. I just can’t handle your ridiculous claim to be stripping off in the name of feminism,” Morgan tweeted, continuing the back-and-forth.

Rose called him out for his initial tweet, which contradicted his claim that he could handle her NSFW photo.

Rose then shared an image of Adam Levine in a nude photo to illustrate her point, asking Morgan if he thought Levine’s photo was attention seeking or not. Morgan tried to explain that no, it wasn’t, because Levine was simply raising awareness for a prostate and testicular cancer charity.

“I raise awareness for my foundation as well Piers,” she responded. “That’s like saying breast cancer awareness is cool but what about HIV and AIDS…my ‘naked’ body offended you for my nonprofit SlutWalk but a woman grabbing Adam Levine’s dick and balls was cool?”

“This is what Emmeline Pankhurst fought so hard for? Jeez,” Morgan tweeted, responding to Rose’s repost of the image. Pankhurst was a part of the the British suffragette movement.

“I’m sorry I forgot only men can be sexually confident,” Rose clapped back.

“If famous men started posting naked photos to social media claiming it was to ‘promote male empowerment’, they’d be jailed,” he tweeted, so naturally, Morgan then decided to re-share a shirtless ad he did for Burger King, citing he was posting “in the name of male empowerment.”

“So you got naked for a Burger King check and ur giving me a hard time?” Rose responded.

Morgan didn’t acknowledge the double standard of supporting Levine while chastising Rose, but hey, Rose’s Los Angeles SlutWalk is on Oct. 1, 2017. Maybe by then, he will understand policing women’s bodies isn’t cool at allnot now, not ever.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin gives a sick fan the experience of a lifetime

Although Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has given his time and money to countless charities, he remembers to appreciate the fans who got him to where he is today.

ABS-CBN News reports that hours before Coldplay performed at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds this week, Martin took the time to visit one of his biggest fans, Ken Valiant Santiago. Ken is a medical student at the University of the Philippines-Manila suffering from stage 4 cancer.

Ken’s older brother, Kheil, said that Ken woke up extra early and braved the line to purchase a platinum ticket to the Coldplay concert, but because of his condition, was unable to attend. Kheil said, “He does not show he is sad, he said it’s okay. But we can feel that he really wanted to be there.”

Image: Shane Wenzlick/Getty Images

Kheil wanted to to do something special for his younger brother, so he posted an open letter on his Facebook page asking his friends and followers to relay a message to Martin and the band.

“Every day in the hospital his hobby is to play music from Coldplay. Some of his favorites are ‘A Sky Full of Stars,’ ‘Adventure of a Lifetime,’ ‘Hymn for the Weekend,’ ‘Everglow,'” he wrote. “I am sending you this open letter to ask a little favor if the band could just say “hi” or a short message for him to make him feel better.”

The letter reached thousands of people and one important person in particular. Rhiza Pascua, the head of Music Management International and the organizer of the Coldplay concert in Manila, saw Kheil’s post and organized the meeting of a lifetime. A few hours before the big concert, Martin paid a personal visit to the hospital to meet his loyal fan.

Ken was unable to speak due to his condition, but expressed his gratitude to the star on a white board by writing, “I can’t thank you enough.”

Kheil said that Martin asked Ken which song the band should play at the concert. When Ken said they should perform their song “Ink,” Martin immediately texted his bandmates to start practicing the song, which they included in the night’s setlist.

Martin also gifted Ken with some band merchandise, including his cap, a shirt, a bag, and a copy of the band’s latest album.

Celebrities using their fame for good makes our hearts swell.

Tom Hanks Shares What He Did to Get Through His Wifes Devastating Diagnosis

“You just clear the decks and you circle the wagons and you join the community and you hunker down.”

Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have taken on new roles in the Hollywood arenacelebrity advocates in the battle against breast cancer.

They recently attended an event for the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, accompanied by friend and fellow celeb, Jason Derulo. Like Tom and Rita, Jason Derulo is no stranger to the effects that breast cancer can have on a family, saying:

“Breast cancer runs in my family. I dont even like to say it like that because I dont even want to speak it more into existence, but its affected a lot of women in my family, and a cause that affects people that are close to you, they always tend to be the ones you care about most.”

After the couple first announced that Rita was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, the actress and singer underwent a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery to irradiate the cancer.

Tom and Rita have credited prayer as the success to their 30 years of marriage. Theyve also spoken openly about how faith saved their family, especially in the midst of Rita battling breast cancer.

We watched movies, we watched great documentaries, we ate good food and we did our best to maintain our spirit and be thankful, she said.

Tom added that they fought through her diagnosis as though they were waiting out a storm, saying, You just clear the decks and you circle the wagons and you join the community and you hunker down. He continued, Its like when theres a big rainstorm outside, you bust out the hot cocoa and make sure everyone is comfortable.

Rita also says that her battle with cancer brought her and Tom closer than ever.

You never know how your spouse is going to react in a situation like this. I was so amazed, so blown away by the care my husband gave me. It was such a normal, intimate time.
